As we all know,everything has sugar.Every single kind of food has sugar.Even the healthies type of food has sugar.It may have more or less,but it has.If food didn't had any Glucose (sugar),which is our main source of energy,it would be difficult for us to eat a little bit and get as much energy as we actually do,but what type of food has less sugar?
Less sugar doesn't mean 'healthy'
This type of food are fruits and vegetables.That is the reason why its highly recommended to eat them every day.But think this for a moment:Why are they the most healthiest?
The answer your looking for is not:"Because they have less sugar".The correct answer can be sumarised into a simple word:Fructose.
What's fructose?
Indeed.Fructose is sugar.But its structure its different from sugar.The only types of food that have it,like I said before,are fruit and vegetables.
So what does Fructose has that Glucose doesn't?
Fructose is healthier.But it isn't healthier on its own,our body makes it healthier.
When we eat something that contains fructose,our body doesn't instantly create it into energy,it is first metabolized.
When glucose is eaten,our body breaks it down and converts it into energy without metabolizing it first.This is the reason why fructose is better than glucose.
Thats the reason why fruit and vegetables are healthy?
Yes but no.Yes,because it contains fructose as I explained,but its also said to be healthy for other things rather than just fructose.Fruit also contains other types of nutrients that benefit us.That's the second reason.
